Please note: we do not sell the settings by themselves as they're created to order (custom) based on a loose gemstone chosen from the shop. To have a ring made, please select a loose gemstone from the shop and then a ring setting...this will equal the full cost of the ring that will be made especially for you by hand in our workshop.

Please note: we can special order many types of gemstones in a variety of shapes/sizes including: Certified lab-grown diamonds, natural diamonds, salt and pepper diamonds, natural sapphires (in a variety of colors; heated or unheated), lab-grown gems (emerald, ruby, alexandrite, sapphires in a variety of colors). We special order gemstones for approximately 90% of our custom/bespoke orders. Please contact us by email: nicole (at) knotandsplice.com or use the contact form.

About this design: Fraser means "of the forest people". This ring is one of a kind and was hand-sculpted painstakingly in wax and then cast immortal in 14K yellow gold. No mold was taken of it, and it is as of yet, one of my most favorite rings I've made.

Pictured is a custom-cut large aquamarine stone, however we will make this design with your selected loose gemstone. For smaller gemstones, we will make sure the design doesn't over-empower the gem size.
Textured vines climb the sides of the ring in an organic cathedral shape. This ring is a song of protection, harmony and an ode to all that is naturally beautiful and serene.

The original design was first hand-carved in wax and then cast as a one of a kind piece directly into 14K gold. No mold was taken of this ring, so each ring will be hand-carved to order. Your setting will be carved to fit the stone you select. We can also make this design with rounded-prongs instead of the pictured talon prongs (the option to select prong shape is listed in the drop-down menus).

We can special order something for your ring through our bespoke/custom service.
  • Several of our wedding bands will stack well with this ring, if desired. Please contact me when purchasing if you'd like a wedding band recommendation.
  • All Knot & Splice gemstones are carefully sourced
  • Total band width: 4.6 mm (Widest in front where the vines are; please note that your ring will vary as it will be truly sculpted to order...for smaller gemstones, we may recommend scaling the design down as to not overpower your chosen stone; please email any questions or concerns...we can modify this design if you reach out by custom form)
  • Band width (not including the front part): 1.6–1.95 mm (will vary)
  • Band thickness: 1.7 mm (not including the front part of the ring; will vary)
  • Pictured center setting size: 11.6 x 11.46 mm (your setting will be based on your selected loose gemstone)
  • Prong setting notes: please note for round or oval stones, we recommend 4 prongs for security. For geometric stones, we may recommend more prongs depending on the size and shape of the stone. For geometric stones, we recommend having prongs covering the points of the stone for added protection.
  • all the gemstones we use are ethically sourced from reputable gem dealers
  • Textures/finish: This piece is highly polished which is the most popular finish requested. We can also give it a matte/brushed finish if you select this option in the drop-down menu. Our signature textures are hand-carved and are reminiscent of nature. There are no sharp edges as wearability is a top priority in our designs.
  • hallmarked "14K" and signed by the artist

Please note: While every effort is made to photograph the items to be an accurate representation, photography and computer monitors have limitations and differences. These images were taken with a Canon DSLR and macro lens (this shows much more detail than the eye can see). Colors and brightness may vary on different devices. I believe these pieces look so much prettier in person when held in the hand and admired by the eye (I've also been told this many times by Knot & Splice customers). I hope you're delighted when you receive your special piece.
