Go To Post     Y’all, it’s taken me a minute, but I’m so happy I finally got these on knotandsplice.com (they’re listed there now!!) and I hope you’ll check them out. (This video shows views of each ring and the rings all together on my pale tattooed hand at the end🤪)▫️ . To be real for a second, I still get anxious to share new work here with all the changes of this app and trying to be a maker in a season where things are constantly shifting. Maybe this is a season of uncomfortable things and growing and stretching...for me I have to remember what I do have and I have a lot and I’m so grateful...it helps me to really focus on the personal good in my life rather than all the things outside of my control. 💛 ▫️ . Maybe we aren’t carrying on “as usual” when we move forward with the abilities and blessings we have, and maybe it’s okay if we feel changed. I always think what if there were no butterflies?...what if they always stayed caterpillars? Do you think caterpillars know they’re going to become completely different and more beautiful after a season of change?▫️ . Maybe we can still choose to uphold light in dark places and shine despite the hard things. I think back to some of the insane thunderstorms we had in Florida when I was a kid...thunder intimidates us and causes us to run for shelter and reprieve, but a storm also brings about necessary rain that waters all life (so it can grow) and washes away things that don’t belong. Maybe in this season we are all growing and we can choose to love and be different than people expect. Maybe it’s okay to be softer to those who think differently than we do, maybe forgiving each other even when we don’t think someone deserves it. Despite everything, my friend, we still can choose who we are going to be in this season even though we can’t control everyone else or everything around us. We can choose to be kind, loving, honest, forgiving, hopeful, and compassionate. Anyway, just some thoughts from someone who is imperfect...still hopeful to become as a butterfly, though, with some grace and love 🦋💛Nicole Jo
