Custom Info/FAQ

Below includes information on the customization options, process, timing, budget, memorial pieces, etc. I am currently accepting both fully bespoke and modified custom design requests. 

You may fill out a custom form here once you're ready to initiate a custom piece.

Customization Options

  • Simple Customizations: Based on current or past designs, with mix-and-match elements (e.g., different bezels, bands, leaves, or droplets).

  • Customization Examples:

    • Milgrain on certain settings

    • Adding accent gems to solitaire designs

    • Incorporating leaves or other elements into an existing design

    • Changing setting styles (e.g., prong to bezel)

  • Bespoke Designs: I am still accepting select fully bespoke designs (and I am also accepting customizations or hybrids of my existing designs or based on past custom pieces)*

  • References (e.g., vintage styles, preferred stone colors) are encouraged. I do not replicate other living artist’s/designer's work. Vintage examples should be for inspiration only.

  • Exclusions: I do not replicate designs from other jewelry artists.

Production Timeline

  • Custom Orders: up to 16 weeks (subject to casting/stone-setting delays; please email me if you have a specific ship-by date or proposal planned to see if we can accommodate a sooner delivery)

  • Rush Orders: Contact me to discuss feasibility and pricing; ready-to-ship pieces are available for faster options.

  • Response Time: Custom inquiry responses may take 3–5 business days.

Metals & Gemstones

  • Metals Available: Solid 14K gold or higher (yellow, rose, white), 18K, 22K, 24K gold, and platinum.

  • Gemstones Used: Diamonds (natural/lab-grown), sapphires (natural/lab-grown), moissanite, and lab-grown rubies, emeralds, and alexandrites.

  • Exclusions: I do not use soft stones like opals, turquoise, or moonstone for daily-wear or engagement pieces. I do not work with low quality gemstones (i.e. mystic topaz).

  • White Gold: I use nickel-free palladium white gold (14K/18K), which is stronger and hypoallergenic. Palladium is in the platinum family so it is priced higher than yellow or rose gold. Platinum pricing is available upon request.

Pricing

  • Custom Rings: Start at $3,000 for 14K yellow/rose gold solitaires; typically range from $4,000–$13,000+.

  • Bespoke & Memorial Pieces: Start at $6,500; pricing depends on complexity.

  • Custom Ring Sets: Priced together when ordering multiple rings.

  • Deposits & Payment:

    • $500 non-refundable deposit required before discussing details or sourcing stones.

    • Full balance due within 3 business days of invoice unless otherwise arranged.

    • Payment Plans: Available through Shop Pay/Affirm (third-party financing; I do not manage plans personally).

    • Quotes: Cannot be provided without a deposit, but I will work within your budget.

  • Price Considerations: Metal and gemstone market prices fluctuate daily.

Client-Owned Materials

  • Heirloom Gemstones: I work with vintage sentimental sapphires and diamonds (appraisal required).

    • Liability: Not responsible for damage; clients may need to sign a waiver.

    • Diamond Recutting: Available for small chips/abrasions (additional cost; adds 3–4 weeks to production time). Timing and pricing must be approved by and paid for by you before proceeding with this service.

  • Gold: I do not work with client-provided gold as my caster does not accept it.

    • If removing diamonds from heirloom pieces, gold can be returned or credited based on fair market value.

Memorial Pieces

  • I can create pieces incorporating ashes. Your loved one's ashes will be treated with the utmost dignity and care.

  • Recommendation: please wait at least 3–12 months after a loss before contacting me about a memorial piece. The initial grief process should not be rushed. I'll be here when you're ready.

  • Process: I handle materials with care and will communicate with you throughout the process. All remaining ashes or any items sent to me will be returned with your finished custom piece.

Resizing & Adjustments

  • It is best to determine the correct ring size before ordering (complimentary plastic sizer available upon request) as sizing up later can add quite an expense as gold is at all-time record highs. We price repairs and resizes based on Geller's Blue Book (gold standard for jewelry repair/sizing pricing). Please email if you need a ring sizer prior to placing your order.

  • Resizing Range: Typically within 2 full sizes (e.g., size 5.5 can be resized between 3.5–7.5).

  • Post-Purchase Resizing: Available at the client's expense (post-order sizing up or down starts at $200 and can be as high as $800+ depending on the amount of gold added to size up). Shipping costs will be quoted, as well. 

Design Rights & Photography

  • I retain rights to all designs and photos.

  • I may replicate designs for other clients or list them in my shop.

  • Photos/videos of your piece may be shared on social media or my website without prior notice.

Policies & Terms

  • Deposits & Payments: Non-refundable but applied to the final cost.

  • No Refunds/Exchanges on Custom Work.

  • Timelines: Please plan accordingly and check current production times before ordering.

  • Communication: I am a one-person business handling multiple projects; response times may vary.
