Introducing our newest and most special eye ring "Galadriel" (LOTR inspired), is a solitaire with a marquise-shaped faceted gemstone of your choosing (there is one lab alexandrite in 14K yellow gold in stock—all other options are made to order according to your selections). A solid bezel carefully clasps a gemstone in an eye shaped, organic hand-carved gilded ring. This ring can be customized with diamonds set into the band, as well.
About the name: “One of the greatest of the elves in Middle Earth, she surpassed nearly all others in beauty, knowledge, and power. She bore Kenya, one of the three Elven rings of power. J.R.R. Tolkien thought of her, along with Gil-galad the Elven-king, as one of the mightiest and fairest of all the Elves left in Middle-earth in the Third Age."
You don't have to be a Lord of the Rings fan to love this charming ring...it is also an ode to the third eye, a symbol of seeing things that others often overlook.
This ring is paired in the photographs with our Waverly and Woodland rings and would make a beautiful affordable alternative bride set or wear it beautifully on its own. It is not designed just for bridal, but anyone who wishes to adorn.
Custom versions?: We can create your own custom ring in the Galadriel design in different 14K/18K gold colors with other gemstones (wanting a different shaped gemstone? a larger gemstone? love this design but want to add accent stones?). Please email us here.
Ready to ship ring (only one in stock, as the finished pictured ring):
1–14K yellow gold ring with lab-grown alexandrite [this ring is sold, but we can make you the same one to order]
Made to order rings (all other gemstone and gold options):
14K gold: please select your gold preference from the drop-down menus (14K yellow, rose, or palladium white gold). Please note that 14K palladium white gold is priced higher as palladium alloy is hypoallergenic and is in the platinum family (as such, it costs much more than the usual alloy added to white gold). We do not plate our white gold pieces and do not use nickel or nickel alloys (commonly used in traditional white gold) in the studio.
Gemstone options: please see photos 2–3 for gemstone options we have available for made to order Galadriel rings. Due to current supply demands, on occasion, some gemstones may be a special order or backordered item. For other gemstone requests or shapes, please contact us for a custom piece: Nicole [at] knotandsplice.com or via our contact page.
Please note: the lab peach sapphire option is a custom cut gemstone in this size (this is outside of our control—the supplier does not keep it in stock at this size/shape). It takes approx. 8–10 weeks to custom cut, although it's very beautiful if you're able to wait. Thanks for understanding.
Accent diamonds (optional add-on): please note we can add accent diamonds (1mm size) scattered into the front of the band (pricing options in the drop-down add-ons are for 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 diamonds). Please see examples on how we inset these into a ring band for Ophelia and Dahlia rings. We will leave a space at the back of the ring should you ever need resizing.
Current timing for made to order: approx. 4–6 weeks (if a gemstone has to be special ordered (or is backordered), this may add time; if you need a ring sooner, please email and we shall see what's possible: Nicole [at] knotandsplice.com)
Setting size: approx. 5 x 7mm (gemstone is 5 x 2.5mm)
Band width: 1.2–1.6mm (varies as it's hand-carved and textured)
Band thickness: 1–1.4mm (varies in thickness around)

Please note: While every effort is made to photograph the items to be an accurate representation, photography and computer monitors have limitations and differences. These images were taken with a Canon DSLR and macro lens (this shows much more detail than the eye can see). Colors and brightness may vary on different devices. I believe these pieces look so much prettier in person when held in the hand and admired by the eye (I've also been told this many times by Knot & Splice customers). I hope you're delighted when you receive your special piece.
